This thesis describes a relationship development, which is not necessarily verbal, but produces communication, creates sense and meaning in between human beings, creating be comings in the real body: that feels, perceives and transforms itself in its physicality, leading to a biosemiotic understand of the visual and the invisible figure.
The first part will describe the research of psychoanalist Daniel Stern, Edward Tronick and Allan Shore on mother/babies relationship empirically and theoretically. I will use videos to show the nuances of the non and pre verbal communication, that besides bringing knowledge on non verbal communication, we can see the development of meaning through frozen and moving posture conecting to character formation. The videos will be made in diferent countries giving us a possibility of research in deferent cultures and social classes. Resonance and empathy will have a fundamental importance on the formation of subjectivity. Concepts of neurophisiology of emotions from Jerome Liss, Stupiggia and Kignel will articulate the verbal and non verbal dialog that can define character formation.
Following that the body psychotherapy researchers: Alexander Lowen, Stanley Keleman, David Boadella and Gerda Boyesen will show how they got in the understand of human postures, figures and the well known “body schema” that psychologically represent the evolution of education and its personality caracteristics, becoming a subject in life. We will see that the process of subjectivity is pre-linguistic but already semiotically formed. The arena of relationship is the possible stage for the character formation. We will explore how the body is the tavola rasa and will be the future basis of the meaning organization of a individual in relationship with somatic posture.
The next part will relate the concepts of psychotherapy in the sense of relationship and the concepts of semiotic in the sense of communication, and out of the theoretical and empyrical process prepare a possible material that might be used to help mothers and babies relationships to get into a best way of education, avoiding possible future problems in adult life. This process will becalled psychosemiotic as Patrizia Viola named it.The empirical process will also explore relationships between adults as a comparision to mother/babies bringing a oportunity that could mediate development also between adults. The understanding of semiotic figures will be based on the texts of Jacques Fontanille, the biosemiotic of Rothschild and the text of Michael Heller “Postural Dynamics”.
